Terms and Conditions


The following terms and conditions will apply to all bookings. We ask that you take a moment to read them prior to making a booking. Please pay attention to our payment, deposit, and cancellation policies as well as the other terms and conditions marked in bold in this document. 


In these terms and conditions, which apply to all bookings, the following words shall mean:  

  • "Agreement" means your booking confirmation read together with these Terms & Conditions;

  • "Guest" means the person who will be accommodated at the Inn;

  • "Inn" and/or “Hotel” means the The Wild Turkey Inn.

 
TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:

  • Premises is not child-proofed.

    • Children who are able to negotiate staircases and antiques are welcome, so long as they are adequately supervised. We ask that you use your best judgment.

    • The Wild Turkey Inn is not child-proofed.

  • Pets live on the property. 

    • We have two lovable border collie crosses named Eevee and Marlow. They may bark when they see you in the guest parking lot. They are friendly and really just want you to pet them! They are kept either in our fenced yard or in our private quarters.

    • We have welcomed two cats into our family. Pink and Floyd are indoor/outdoor cats so you can expect to see them around!

  • Must climb stairs. 

    • There is an outdoor set of stairs (25 steps in total) and another flight of stairs to get to the guest rooms (21 steps). Please pack accordingly.

  • Wifi but no TV.

    • Our rooms do not come with TVs, we do, however, have a TV in the guest kitchen. You are welcome to stream your media accounts to this TV. We also offer wifi so that you can stream to your device and check-in with the digital world at your discretion.

  • Snowy climate in winter. 

    • Please be ready for lots of snow and icy roads, parking lots, and pathways from October to April. Winter tires are required in this region from October 1 to April 30.

INCLUSIONS:

  • Free parking and access to a secure (shared) ski/bike/equipment storage room.

  • Self-catering guest kitchen; basics and staples commonly used are provided.

  • Complementary breakfast items, coffee, tea, and light snacks.


BOOKINGS:

  • Two night minimum stay required. 

  • Rates based on double occupancy.

  • Rates are in Canadian funds and are subject to 16% tax.

    • GST (Goods & Services Tax): 5% federally applied tax

    • PST (Provincial Sales Tax): 8% applies to short-term accommodation 

    • MRDT (Municipal and Regional District Tax): 3% tourism tax

  • Self check-in anytime after 3:00 pm. Self check-out is by 11:00 am.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE:

  • We require a 30% deposit of the stay, including taxes, at time of booking to confirm reservation.

  • Balance due will be processed on day of departure. Extra charges will be processed at check-out.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • Full refund up to one day prior to arrival, less a cancellation and handling fee equal to 10% of your deposit.

  • Should it be necessary for you to depart earlier than your confirmed reservation dates, you will be responsible for the original room nights booked for your intended stay.

  • If you incur additional charges or damages during your stay that were not settled at time of check-out, charges will be billed to your credit card on file.

PETS:

  • Well-behaved dogs and cats are allowed for all bookings.

  • There is a $35 cleaning fee for each pet.

  • We are not able to accommodate other types of pets.

NON SMOKING ENVIRONMENT:  

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms and common areas of the Inn, including the outdoor spaces on the property.

  • A charge of $250 will apply to the bill of the registered Guest should deep cleaning be required due to smoking in any of the rooms at the Inn.


DAMAGES AND NEGLIGENCE:

  • We understand that accidents occur and items break due to normal wear and tear. Please let us know if we need to tend to anything in the rooms or common spaces as overall upkeep of our heritage home, and your guest experience, are of the utmost importance to us. We do, however, reserve the right to charge for any negligent damage to or removal of items from the premises. If you incur additional charges or damages during your stay, charges will be billed to your credit card on file.


LIABILITY : 

  • All warranties, conditions and other terms implied by statute or common law are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded from this Agreement.  

  • The Hotel shall have no liability to the Guest and/or the Guest's invitees, visitors, employees, sub-contractors or invitees for any special, indirect, consequential loss or damage. The Wild Turkey Inn total liability shall, wherever permitted by law, be limited to the value of this Agreement. 

  • The Guest shall indemnify the Hotel against any/all liability and any claims, proceedings or damages resulting or arising from or by the booking, function, the Guest, his/her invitees, visitors or any service provider engaged by the Guest.  

  • Guests are encouraged to lock their rooms at all times when left unattended. Guests should take note that the Inn does not accept responsibility whatsoever for theft from the Inn premises or from rooms in the Inn. The Guest is advised to have and is responsible for insurance to cover loss of baggage, personal effects and money.  

  • The Guest shall be responsible for any damage caused to the rooms, furnishings, utensils and equipment therein caused by or attributable to any act, omission, default or neglect of the Guest, his/her invitees, visitors or service providers engaged by the Hotel and will pay to the Hotel on demand the amount required to make good or remedy any such damage. For the purpose of this clause, acts or omissions of the guests, invitees, employees and/or subcontractors shall be deemed acts of the Guest.

  • The Wild Turkey Inn won’t be made liable for any direct or indirect damages that may occur during the Guests’ (as well as his/her/their guests’) stay at the accommodation, including (but not exclusive to): personal injury or damage to possessions, losses caused by arson, theft, criminal behaviour, or Acts of Nature. Likewise, we are not accountable for any problems related to the supply of services such as electricity, gas, or water, if these are beyond our control.

AVAILABILITY AND USE OF FACILITIES AND SERVICES : 

  • The Wild Turkey Inn will do its best to ensure that all facilities listed at the Hotel will be available during your stay. However, we cannot guarantee that they will be available as maintenance and other work may be necessary from time to time.  Prior consent of the Hotel must be received for any entertainment, beauty or other services contracted by the Guest outside of the Hotel. The Hotel may refuse or grant its consent at its absolute discretion without being liable to the Guest for such decision.  The Guest, if engaging the services of persons outside the employ of the Hotel, shall indemnify the Hotel against any loss of or damage to property or death or illness of or injury to any person(s) and against all claims, demands, proceedings and damages arising as a result thereto.  The Hotel may in its absolute discretion refuse access to any third party service provider in appropriate circumstances.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

  • You are invited to inquire about hosting special events at The Wild Turkey Inn. Please contact us directly to discuss the details. We maintain first right of refusal based on suitability.

FORCE MAJEURE:  

  • The Wild Turkey Inn shall not be in breach of this Agreement if it does not provide the services under this Agreement, and it shall be entitled to cancel a booking if it is no longer able to provide the accommodation, due to one or more of the following circumstances: 

    • any part of the Hotel is closed due to fire, alteration or redecoration by order of any public authority or any reason beyond the Hotel's control; 

    • there is a failure to supply the Hotel with gas, electricity or water outside of the Hotel's control;

    • the Hotel is unable to fulfill the booking as a result of industrial action by its staff or one of its suppliers; 

    • fire, lightning, explosion, riot or civil commotion, malicious damage, sickness, quarantine, storm, tempest, flood, burst pipes, earthquakes, or impact resulting in the Hotel being unable to provide the booked facilities; 

    • the Hotel or any part thereof is designated for alternate use. 

  • If any one of the events above occurs The Wild Turkey Inn will do its best to avoid any inconvenience and will return any payments made.

GUEST CONCERNS:

  • In the event that you have a concern during your stay at the Inn, we ask that you please bring it to the attention of the owners or Inn staff as soon as possible to allow the Inn the opportunity to address the issue during your stay.

NON-DISCRIMINATORY ENVIRONMENT:

  • The Wild Turkey Inn values and welcomes people from all walks of life. It is our policy not to discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, marital status, gender orientation, age, ethnicity, or disability and as a responsible host, we believe that we have a duty to our guests to protect them from inappropriate behaviour. The Guest, and members of their party, are expected to adhere to this policy and the Inn may, without incurring any liability to the Guest, immediately remove from the Inn any person(s) offending against this policy. Should any actions by a Guest be deemed inappropriate by the owners or staff of the Inn, or if any inappropriate behaviour is brought to the attention of the owners or staff, the Inn reserves the right, after any allegations have been investigated, to take action against the Guest.

RESPONSIBILITY:

  • The Wild Turkey Inn accepts no responsibility for weather or ski conditions at time of travel; nor responsibility for losses or other expenses due to delay or changes in air schedules or other services including, but not limited to, weather, sickness, strikes, terrorism, war, quarantine, lockouts, government action. All such losses will be the responsibility of the passenger. Travel insurance is recommended.

We use your data to provide and improve the service you receive. By using any of our communication portals, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Definitions

Communication Portals
Communication Portals refers to any or all of our digital communication with you. This includes our website: The Wild Turkey Inn; telephone communication 778-606-2019; text messages from the same phone number; messages sent and received through our Social Media channels; and our property management system which includes our booking engine and payment processor.

On the booking form, you will be asked to opt-in to personalized text messages from us during your stay. We may text you to see that everything is in order upon your check-in. Afterwards, you can text with us as much or as little as you like.  Text STOP if you do not want to communicate by SMS.

You may opt-in to receiving seasonal SMS newsletters from us. You may opt-out of subscribing to this newsletter by closing the pop-up. Should you opt-in and then change  your mind, you may text STOP in reply to our message and you will no longer be contacted.
