Welcome to The Wild Turkey Inn — a private heritage guesthouse in the heart of Rossland, British Columbia.
Just three blocks from downtown and about ten minutes from RED Mountain Resort, The Wild Turkey Inn is a lovingly restored 1896 Victorian home designed for relaxed, multi-day stays.
Book one guest room or the entire three-bedroom inn. Either way, there is only one guest booking in the inn at a time, and the inn’s guest spaces are yours to enjoy privately throughout your stay.
Each guest room has its own private ensuite, and guests have access to the fully equipped chef’s kitchen, dining and gathering spaces, guest laundry, free parking and secure ski/bike storage. We’re pet- and family-friendly, and every stay includes our complimentary Kootenay Care Package of breakfast foods, pantry staples and snacks.

The House
Built in 1896 during Rossland’s Gold Rush, The Wild Turkey Inn was originally commissioned for J.S.C. Fraser — the first Bank of Montreal manager in Rossland and a relative of explorer Simon Fraser.
More than a century later, much of the character of the original home remains: soaring ceilings, soft fir floors, detailed woodwork, period doors and windows, and the slightly eccentric proportions that come with a house of this age.
We’ve restored and adapted the home for modern stays without trying to erase its history. Private ensuites, a well-equipped chef’s kitchen and comfortable gathering spaces now sit alongside the craftsmanship and quirks of the original Victorian house.
Rossland has reinvented itself too — from mining town to a mountain community known for skiing, biking, arts and year-round outdoor adventure. Staying here offers a chance to experience both histories at once.

The Experience
The Wild Turkey Inn is meant to feel less like a hotel and more like having a historic Rossland home of your own.
Mornings can begin slowly, with coffee and breakfast from the Kootenay Care Package while plans take shape around the kitchen table. After a day at RED, on the trails or wandering downtown, come back to a warm house with room to cook together, linger over dinner, read, play music or simply spread out.
Being only three blocks from downtown Rossland makes restaurants, shops and local events easy to reach, while RED Mountain Resort is about ten minutes away.
Whether you book one room or all three, there is only one guest booking in the inn at a time. The guest spaces are yours to settle into and enjoy privately — an unusual amount of space and privacy for a guesthouse, and one of the nicest ways to experience Rossland.
