Local Attractions
Eat & Drink
Visit the Alpine Grind or Seven Summits Coffee, Hooper’s Bakery, the Rossland Beer Co., Gabriella’s, or The Flying Steamshovel Pub, amongst many others, for wonderful food and drink experiences. Cooking in our newly renovated guest kitchen is also a great option! Ferraro Foods is the local grocery store. We can’t say enough about this place. It’s probably better stocked with gourmet ingredients than most grocers in large urban centres.
Ski & Board
Red Mountain Resort is a hidden gem of a ski hill and is less than ten minutes away. The powder is dry, the glade skiing is epic, and there are very rarely any lines. From Red, you can jump on the Mt. Kirkup Cat to access slackcountry terrain for only $10. Check out Big Red Cats to access more remote lift-free skiing. The Black Jack Ski Club maintains over 40km of scenic cross-country ski terrain and is a fifteen minute drive away.
Bike & Golf
The surrounding area is criss-crossed with mountain bike trails for all levels of riders, including the legendary Seven Summits trail. The Redstone Resort golf course is a true mountain course and is a five minute drive from the inn.
But wait, there’s more...
Check out the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre and the town’s heritage buildings to learn more about the history of this area. Visit Happy Hills Farm to buy local produce and products, or nab yourself some local art from one of the many boutiques. You’re almost guaranteed a wildlife sighting so keep your eyes peeled for bears, deer, elk, moose, coyotes, woodpeckers, and, of course, wild turkeys!
During pandemic free times, book your stay during one of the town’s many events, including the Winter Carnival, Golden City Days, the Mountain Film Festival, or the KTM Adventure Rally. Head ten minutes down the hill to the city of Trail for river walks, antique shopping, hockey games, a spaghetti dinner, theatre shows and so much more. Ski, hike, bike, golf, shop, dine, history, wildlife... it’s all here!
And, even more….
