The Wild Turkey Inn
One-of-a-Kind Luxury Accommodation in Rossland, B.C.
In 1890, gold was discovered in the Red Mountain district of the West Kootenays, and the town of Rossland emerged. The Bank of Montreal joined the rush, and J.S.C. Fraser, relative of Simon Fraser, was the first bank manager. This house was built for him using the finest materials available at the time. She stands tall and proud, and she’s a beauty. The eleven foot ceilings, soft fir floors, and intricate door casings are sights to behold.
